Certificate in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Prevention and Control Nursing

Why Study AMR Prevention and Control at LIHS?

We are committed to equipping healthcare professionals with the tools they need to combat one of the greatest global health threats of our time: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). With the increasing resistance to antibiotics and other antimicrobials, this course is designed to empower practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and control the spread of drug-resistant infections.

Antimicrobial resistance threatens the health and safety of both humans and animals, as well as the sustainability of our environment. By understanding the urgency and adopting preventive measures, healthcare professionals play a vital role in combating AMR, ensuring a safer future for all.

This fully accredited, part-time, 8-week online program is guided by the Global and National Action Plan (GAP) on AMR, focusing on Antimicrobial Stewardship and One Health approach, which aims to achieve optimal health outcomes for people, animals, and ecosystems. Delivered by leading professionals, this course provides foundational expertise to manage, lead, educate, and challenge antimicrobial resistance across healthcare settings.
